Discovery of the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum

We don’t know why, but the find was revealed months later (perhaps the Maltese at the time didn’t want to spread the discovery of the new treasure).

And it was thanks to the excavations of the experts that today we know that the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum was a temple composed of different interconnected bedrooms, which are located along the three levels it has.

On the first level are the human bones, some are so old that they are believed to be from the year 4,000 BC. However, there are other remains that correspond to people who lived in the bronze age; that is, between 1,500 BC

The most curious thing is that it is not known to which ancient culture the remains of these people belong. To this day it still remains a mystery!

And what about the second and third level? In the second one is one of the most famous chambers with megalithic style and in the third level there is a warehouse.
